Colombian Ceramic Artist Capturing Nature's Essence.

As a ceramic artist originally from Colombia and now based in the UK for almost half my life, I am constantly immersed in experimentation. I make sculptures, tests, discoveries, and revelations of the hidden potentials of various materials.

While I use moulds as boundaries of control, I cherish freedom by playing, letting go of control, and allowing infinite and unexpected possibilities. By mixing different clay bodies and other organic materials, I use nature and the world around me as a primary source of inspiration.

In my practice, I strive to challenge conventional ways of using clay and continue to be motivated by my curiosity, wonder, and the potential of freedom in making as the material leads the process, revealing new interactions and possibilities. I want to continue being surprised by the secrets the mould, clay, kiln, and other materials give away, hoping to spark the same in others.
